My dog Duke

This is my second year teaching 5th grade at Saint Perpetua School.  I am looking forward to a fun and challenging year.

Let me tell you a little about myself!  I graduated with my B.A. from St. Mary's College in 2008, and later went on to receive my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master's degree from St. Mary's College in 2009.  I live in Orinda with my husband Brian and Chocolate Lab puppy Duke.  I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and of course, playing fetch with Duke :)

My goal for this year is that these fifth graders excel and enjoy learning the 5th-grade curriculum and more, while being challenged to think critically and creatively.  I also hope to create a community of trust and encouragement to spur us all to excellence.  Fifth grade is the last stepping stone to Junior High, therefore, my goal will be to make sure all students are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead of them in 6th grade.

If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail me at jjones@csdo.org.  I will check my e-mail in the morning and evening, and will respond promptly.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Jones
