                Friday:  8:30 - 12:00 (early dismissal)

                          during LUNCH and RECESS


In May, we prepare for Summer Break with two programs:

1) Book SWAP and

2) Summer Reading Program

Both programs are offered to provide your student(s) with the opportunity to prevent

summer reading loss by reading lots of good books.

BOOK SWAP:

Donations are being accepted NOW through May 17th.

For each book your child donates, s/he will get a book at the Book SWAP,

the Week of May 20th.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM:  MAKE A SPLASH -- READ!

You can download the Summer Reading Records for your students to use each day.

Please notice that there are two separate forms based on grade level.

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE BY MAY 24TH.

Library will close May 28th for Inventory and Year-End processing.

Library Programs and Services

Grades K-5 enjoy weekly class visits to the library which include read-aloud storytime, book talks, library instruction, readers' advisory service and library loans. Children check out books each week that they may take home. They are expected to return the books the following week so that they may check out more books or renew titles they have not finished reading. Please help your child to return their books each week by reminding them in the morning and providing a space at home where they may store library books. Kindergarten returns library books on MONDAY

1st Grade returns library books on FRIDAY

2nd Grade keeps library books at school for classroom use

3rd Grade returns library books on THURSDAY

4th Grade returns library books on MONDAY

5th Grade returns library books on MONDAY

Junior High students are welcome to visit the library anytime. Library book due dates are stamped on the DATE DUE slip inside the book.
