Academic Overview

St.Perpetua School is a Catholic educational community within St. PerpetuaParish. Clergy, administration, faculty and staff work in cooperationwith parents and students to impart the Christian message and to passon the history and traditions of the Catholic Church. Students aretaught to view life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ whilethey are encouraged to develop a sense of social justice and a desireto serve others.

 

 

A solid academic foundation is paramount to student success.  Our top-notch faculty strives to provide a comprehensive, relevant and challenging curriculum, preparing students to enter higher education with competence and confidence.  Throughout the program students are encouraged to accept challenges and explore new ideas.  The presence of multiple intelligences is valued, and a variety of teaching strategies and differentiated instruction to demonstrate this value are employed.

 

 

We emphasize academic excellence through critical thinking, intellectual thought, writing, creative expression, and problem solving across all academic areas through a variety of teaching methods including differentiated instruction. 

 

ACADEMIC HONESTY

Honesty is expected ofstudents in the performance of all academic work.  Cheating, plagiarism (such as, but notlimited to, copying or sharing the work of another and submitting it as one'sown), or doing another person's homework assignments are all forms of academicdishonesty.  Anyone who violates thepolicy of academic honesty may immediately receive a failing grade on that examor assignment.  Academic dishonesty maylead to other disciplinary procedures.
