St. Perpetua Youth Ministry

To Know Christ Better

To Make Christ Better Known

Each year high-school age students have the opportunity to join with other teens in the community to explore faith and what it means to be a Catholic teen in today’s world – from a teen’s viewpoint and outside of a formal church setting!  St.Perpetua provides this opportunity through what the Church calls Youth Ministry  Rather than academic classes, Youth Ministry at St. Perpetua encompasses exploration of religious and spiritual themes, community building activities, service learning and social justice projects, and prayerful worship experiences. In addition, Youth Ministry includes teen preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  If you have an interest in on-going faith-focused gatherings, service opportunities, spiritual experiences, retreats, and social activities (a.k.a.FUN!) then come join us.

St. Perpetua’s Youth Ministry provides teens various types of gatherings to engage and live out their faith wherever they may be in their faith journey.  We "gather" in five primary ways:

+  Through weekly Youth Group gatherings focused on topical issues, mixed in with some fun and food.

+  In an intensive one-year Sacrament of Confirmation Preparation Program.

+  At our Teen/Family/Youth Masses and other special liturgical celebrations throughout the year.

+  By sharing our gifts and talents in Parish, Community, and Social Justice Service opportunities.

+  In a once a month Kairos gathering for teens looking for a deeper faith experience.

What do you need to do?

Be prepared for a great year! Youth Ministry at St. Perpetua starts in September.

Go to the “Forms Tab” on the “Youth" side bar to the left of this page.
Print out and complete the Registration form and Youth Parental Permission form and send them in to the office (attention Youth Ministry) before we begin in September: September 16 for Confirmation or September 26 for Youth Group or bring them to our first gathering.  The Church and parish office also have paper copies of the forms.

Check out the web pages on the Youth Ministry site for your interests, more detailed information, and the calendars for each.
