2013 Summer Reading Program -- Make a Splash -- READ!
StudentsEntering Kindergarten - 4th Grade:
Rules:
- Color a starfish each DAY you read.
- Encourage your classmates to read too.
- Get a parent's signature when you are done.
- Submit your Reading Record (which can be downloaded from this site) to St. Perpetua School Library, when school begins. It is due no later than August 23, 2013.
- DUE DATE: August 23, 2013
- Late entries NOT accepted.

- Public Recognition
- FREE Book
- FREE Dress Pass
- Ice Cream Social for the winning class -- the class with the most participation in the program.
StudentsEntering 5th - 8th Grade:
To Qualify as a Summer Reader:
- Students in grades 5-8 must read at least three (3) books at their AR-Level, during summer break.
- Reading Record is due the first week of school, no later than August 23, 2013.
- Summer Readers will receive a FREE book.
To Qualify as an AWE-Summer Reader:
- Students in grades 5-8 must read at least six (6) books at their AR-Level, during summer break.
- Students also need to either
- Write a review of a book they enjoyed reading over the summer OR
- Create a video book trailer about a book they read
- Reading Record and review/video is due to Mrs. Hinton in the office or library the first week of school, no later than August 23rd. Review may be written on a separate sheet of paper and attached to the reading record. Video must be posted online and the link is sent to Mrs. Hinton via email at shinton@csdo.org
