Faith Formation - Sacraments

THE SACRAMENTS PROGRAM (First Eucharist & First Reconciliation)
The sacramental dimension of St. Perpetua Religious Education Program is designed to support and deepen the sacramental life of the Parish Family. In the sacraments the Church celebrates and acknowledges the center of every sacrament to be the presence of Jesus. The opportunity for deepening one's relationship with Jesus and the Christian community is uniquely present in each sacrament. Therefore, the preparation for reception of First Eucharist and First Reconciliation includes prayer and shared faith, as well as study and reflection on the meaning of the sacraments. Jesus has promised each of us "fullness of life.

The Sacrament of First Eucharist is celebrated in grade two and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in grade four at St. Perpetua. Students from the parish school join the students enrolled in the faith formation program to celebrate these sacraments communally.
