WELCOMING COMMITTEE
Function
The Welcoming Committee coordinates and oversees the process of welcoming
new parishioners. They sponsor two potlucks per year (a Mardi Gras and
one in the fall). They also coordinate volunteers (known as "welcomers")
who call new parishioners.
Structure
Marie & Ed
Bonilla currently chair the committee of 6 to 10 members. Families and
individuals volunteer to be "welcomers" for new parishioners.
Member Profile
Committee
members and "welcomers" from all segments of the parish population are
welcome and valued.
Time Commitment
Committee members meet 6 to 8 times a year. Those volunteering to be "welcomers" may be asked to call and welcome one new family a quarter.
Term of Service
There is
no set term. Committee members and "welcomers" are needed.
