LITURGY COMMITTEE

Function
The Liturgy Committee oversees the ordering of the liturgical year, the public prayer of the parish and coordinates liturgical ministries through planning, preparation, implementation and evaluation.

Structure
This committee is currently chaired by Ramona Davis. Six to eight members represent and coordinate various aspects of liturgical ministry. The pastor, pastoral associate and the director of music ministries serve as ex officio members.

Member Profile
All members of the parish with an interest in liturgy are welcome to participate. Members must be willing to spend some time in studying the rites of the Church so that they may be carried out faithfully and well in our parish, and to facilitate evaluation of areas where change and growth are necessary.

Time Commitment
The liturgy committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. for dinner, fellowship, and agenda items.

Term of Service
The committee has functioned without set terms and limits.

There are different ways to serve the same Lord, and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do."
