LECTOR MINISTRY

Function
Proclaim the Word of the Lord at all liturgies.

Structure
Currently has co-chairs who coordinate ministry with the Liturgy Committee.

Member Profile
Members from all segments of the parish population are welcome and valued.  

Time Commitment
Meet several times a year to prepare for coming liturgical seasons, especially Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.  Preparation of readings for liturgy is necessary.   Most ministers are currently scheduled for a Sunday mass once every 1 to 2 months.  Ministers may select which mass time(s) they prefer.  Ministers may also designate weekends of non-availability prior to scheduling.  

Term of Service
Commitment to lector ministry is renewed annually.
