Christian Initiation of Adults
Function
Adults enter the Catholic Church through a process of
education, reflection, faith sharing, prayer, and celebration of the
sacraments of initiation. Parishioners of committed faith form a
supportive team to walk with those who embark on this challenging and
enriching journey.
Structure
The
committee currently is chaired by Christoph Nauer. At this point it
functions with four additional members.
Member Profile
Members
from all segments of the parish population are welcome and valued. A love
and passion for your faith and the desire to share it with those seeking
entrance into the Church is essential. The gift to encourage participants
to openly share viewpoints and opinions while respecting those of others
is helpful.
Time Commitment
Team
members facilitate one to two participants¹ meetings a month. These
meetings usually last about two hours and require about 30 to 40 minutes
of preparation time. In addition, the team meets every six to eight weeks
for scheduling, planning and evaluating.
Term of Service
The
committee has functioned without set terms.

There are different ways to serve the same Lord,
and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of
us and helps us in everything we do."
