CENTERING PRAYER MINISTRY
Function
The Centering Prayer Group meets weekly on Monday evenings in the chapel
from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The goal of this group is to deepen our conscious
contact with God through an ancient method of meditation and reading of
Scripture. We then practice this devotion on a daily basis.
Structure
Co-leaders
are Mary Gregory, Carol Weyer and Helen McKennon. At present, the group
consists of about twenty members.
Member Profile
Anyone
wishing to deepen his or her relationship with God is welcome to the
group. We have met for over 5 years, every Monday evening. All members
have said that Centering Prayer has had a beneficial influence in their
lives.
Time Commitment
One hour a week. Daily prayer periods are also essential. Additional
teaching workshops, etc. are available.
Term of Service
As long as
you feel called by God to Centering Prayer (for your life!).

There are different ways to serve the same Lord,
and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of
us and helps us in everything we do."
