It is an honor for me to serve the St. Perpetua parish as the Director of Youth Ministry and Confirmation. While I came to St. Perpetua in the Fall of 2006, I have been working with teenagers at St. Francis of Assisi in Concord in the parish youth group and confirmation programs for over twenty years. My hope at St. Perpetua is three fold: Work to meet the spiritual needs of our members of the parish in high school; prepare candidates for the sacrament of confirmation, and to make our Catholic faith experience real in the lives of our young adults.

My undergraduate degrees in Religious Studies and English Literature were earned at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, followed by a Master of Arts in Leadership, also from Saint Mary's. Prior to working with teenagers, I worked in religious education programs for fourth and seventh graders at St. Monica's in Moraga. I enjoy working with teenagers very much and showing them how we can live our faith in very real and concrete ways in today's world.

I was born in Woodland, California, and came to the Bay Area in 1975. I have been married for over twenty-one years to my beautiful wife Jennifer. We have four wonderful daughters, Allison, Ellen, Leah, and Stephanie, ages eighteen through seven, and we make our home in Walnut Creek.
